In February, Crown’s large-scale etched glass piece, cloudy.presentdistance installed in a collector’s home in New York. The work was first exhibited in Crown’s Solo Show THE SUBLIME AND THE CENTER: DIMENSIONS OF LANDSCAPE at Marlborough Gallery in 2014. The piece stands as a map of itself. A 14 x 20 foot expansive surface, cloudy.presentdistance represents a portion of an original drawing magnified by several thousand times to create relational uncertainty for the viewer.
